About Arukam Pul (Bermuda Grass):-

Bermuda grass’s botanical name is Cynodon dactylon. In Tamil, it’s called Arugampul. This grass has deep roots and if you cut it grows again. Bermuda grass is known by many names such as doob grass, durva grass, dog’s tooth grass, devil’s grass, conch grass, and Cynodon dactylon. It is named dog’s tooth grass because dogs search these grasses for stomach ailments, hence the name. Cynodon dactylon is grown in the tropical climate ranges between latitudes of 30° S and 30° N. Doob grass has many health as well as medicinal benefits. Durva grass is loaded with medicinal uses that can be used as home remedies. Durva grass is used as antiviral and antimicrobial. In India, Bermuda grass is considered a sacred plant, which has great significance in Ayurveda because of its medicinal as well as clinical properties.

How to consume Arukam Pul (Bermuda Grass) Internally:-

• Body Weakness and Body Heat: Take a mixture of Bermuda grass and cow’s butter for 20 to 48 days. Your face too will look glow.
• Good for diabetic: Drink Bermuda grass juice daily morning on an empty stomach. Your sugar level will come down. 
• Piles, Eyes, Nose, and Ear Defects: Take this powder with Keezhanelli on an empty stomach. Blood flow will come into control. Take Bermuda grass and pomegranate leaves and boil in water and drink that water for piles, eye, nose, and ear defects.
• For Piles with Blood: Take 35 grams of Bermuda grass powder and grind it and heat it and take along with cow’s milk.
• Weight loss: for skin rashes grind Bermuda grass and turmeric and apply this paste on the whole body for half an hour and take bath. Its juice purifies the blood and flushes out the toxins out of the body. Makes the body fit and is used for weight loss.

How to Apply Arukam Pul (Bermuda Grass) Externally:-

• Skin disease: take a handful of Bermuda grass and a small piece of turmeric and grind to smoothen paste and apply this mixture in that area. 
• Eye diseases: Take this 50 grams and black pepper 35 grams, smash it, add 50 ml gingerly oil, and keep in sunlight for 3 days. Apply this oil to the head instead of coconut oil. Eye diseases will be cured and heat will be chased off.
