About Keezhanelli (Country Gooseberry):-

        Country gooseberry Plant leaves are compound; leaf-let arranged in two rows with a rachis, alternate, opposite and decussate almost sessile, stipulate, oblong, entire; up to 1.5 cm long and 0.5 cm wide, Plant color like greenish-brown; odour of leaf is indistinct & taste bitter. The root of the plant is Small and the length of the root is 2.5-11 cm, nearly straight, gradually tapering, with a number of fibrous secondary and tertiary roots, external surfaces like light brown, fracture & short. Country gooseberry is used traditionally for treating a variety of diseases.

How to Consume Keezhanelli (Country Gooseberry) Internally:-

1. Morning - Mix 5 gms of powder in 100 ml water, Boil the content for a few minutes. once the water gets warm, filter the content and drink it before food. Repeat the same for Evening Dosage after dinner.
2. For Jaundice, Hepatitis and liver health: A paste grind from cardamom, Keelanelli leaves powder, turmeric and an onion taken twice in a day on empty stomach, with buttermilk or milk helps in relieving Jaundice.
3. Keezhanelli for Eye Problems: Keezhanelli powder or Keelanelli when consumed once in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of warm water, shows improvement in eye health.
4. Keelanelli for skin Problems: consuming a decoction of pepper and Keezhanelli leaves powder decoction fastens the skin healing process
